Take Flight

I'm not sure what it is about the blurry pictures I take of birds in flight (or about to be in flight), but I'm really drawn to them. This bird was taking off from the waters of the Marlborough Sounds. I used my telephoto, which I sometimes have trouble focusing. But the movement in the photo calls to me. It seems to me the bird is lifting off into a great adventure, most likely because I am on a great adventure myself.
