On the Boat in the Sounds

The Marlborough Sounds are an amazingly beautiful area that Jodie and I visited once we arrived in Picton. We went on a Cruise/Walk one day hike of the Queen Charlotte Track through Cougar Lines, despite the gray sky. (We had been told the rain would stay away; it did.) Many of the areas of the Sound are only accessible by boat, so Cougar Line caters not only to tourists, but locals and local businesses. If you want to take your dog with you, you can take it on the boat as well.

A group of builders had loaded up some construction supplies for the day onto our boat. This builder and his dog enjoyed the view from the back deck of the boat. It was a bit chilly however and after a little over 30min on the boat, this is how I found them: curled up together.
