Last Christmas, my aunt, uncle, & cousins gifted me with a Gorillapod. I hadn't used it much until right before I went on the Little Red Road Trip with Jodie & Rachael. Little Red is Jodie's car, in which the three of us took a road trip from Wanaka to Picton over this past weekend. One of our stops along the way was the Franz Josef glacier on the west coast of the South Island. We walked to the terminal face of the glacier; I hope to walk on the glacier itself the next time I pass by.
I love my Gorillapod. I took the picture on the left side using the set-up you see on the right. Every now and then, the tripod is too short for the shot I want, but it is dead useful when I need to wrap it around poles and benches. So very cool!
Wow, cant imagine that it could hold such a heavy camera at that angle.
