My guided walk around the Botanic Gardens was very nice. My guide, Max, was extremely knowledgeable about the plant life in the gardens. He told me all about the different varieties of trees, etc.; I of course can't remember any of it. But it was still cool to hear about.
For example, the tree above, I can't remember what it's called. But I learned about the fact that it so heavily weeps, it had to be grafted onto a straight trunk to raise it above the ground. It reminded me of Tiffany glass. The rose garden was definitely perked up by the sunshine. We walked through it rather quickly, which means I've visited it twice in under 20 minutes. Weather and timing combine to keep me wanting more. ;)
really lovely! i especially like the tree shot. it looks so elegant and fragile... yes you're right, just like a Tiffany glass.
