I've actually been to the Botanic Gardens twice since I've arrived in Christchurch. It was gray the first day with a tiny bit of drizzle, so I mostly stuck to the Conservatories. This picture was taken near the Conservatories, when the weather cleared just a bit. Today it was much sunnier and so I took a guided walk through the Gardens. They are quite large and so I still only sampled a small portion. But it was lovely. The fall colors are so bright: red, yellow, orange, all mixed in with the green.
I haven't downloaded today's photos yet, but I thought this shot from yesterday (May 10th) was a good one to show what the colors are right now.
Wonderful colors!Love it!
