Take a Gander

On the 8th I walked about the Auckland Domain. When I passed the duck pond for the second time there was a lot of bird action. A very sweet Chilean woman was feeding the geese, ducks, seagulls, and other assorted birds. She gave me a piece of bread to feed them with and all was going well until I decided to try to take an close-up while feeding the geese. This little guy got impatient for his bread and nipped a bit of skin off my finger instead. It didn't hurt, but it did bleed. My own fault of course.

Despite the bite, I enjoyed feeding these geese. They were much nicer geese than those I've attempted to feed near Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park. Even the Chilean woman commented on how kind the geese were.

I really enjoyed the Auckland Domain. I would probably go all the time if I lived in Auckland.
