In this world of DVR, I just saw Sunday's episode of Eli Stone. If you haven't seen it yet and care about getting spoiled, I recommend you check out a different website right about now.
So in the episode, the Golden Gate Bridge is destroyed in an earthquake. (Don't worry, Eli convinced the mayor of SF to close the bridge for the public's safety prior to the quake.) What should have been a cool sequence for me was ruined by being a local. You can't get that view of the bridge from Golden Gate Park. Why couldn't they just say the characters were in the Presidio? (Some of the shots of the bridge even looked like they were from the Marin side.) Ok, done nitpicking now. Still have great fun with the show. Just, maybe learn some SF geography. And maybe a little law. Since, you know, your show is about San Francisco lawyers. Ok, really done now.
Don't worry Eli. Even in our reality, the area is closed for safety. ;)
Sadly, those production and scripting errors in popular shows are as much a reflection on those who watch as much as those who make. It has got to the point where I can no longer bear to watch.
