More: The Real Power Boxes of Alameda CountyPosted by liaso (Bay Area, United States) on 14 April 2008 in Art & Design. On April 3rd, between work and soccer practice, I went on the hunt for more traffic signal power boxes in Emeryville. There are 17 total, and prior to this day I had found 8. Sam knew I was taking pictures of the boxes and had spotted two additional boxes on her bus route. So off I went. I started on the same route I usually take to go where Sam had seen the 2 new boxes, but figured out after a few blocks that I should take a different route if I wanted to find even more new boxes. It was the right idea, because instead of finding just 2 new boxes, I found 6! So now I have found 14 of the 17 boxes. I'm not sure if I'll have time to find the last three, but I hope so. It's been great fun looking for and photographing these boxes. P.S. I've made no alterations to the photographs. I think the blurry spot in the middle bottom picture is from graffiti only somewhat successfully removed.
