200,000 Words So Far, Part 1

Wow. How in the world is time moving this quickly? I just need it to slow down, just a little bit.

I found this flower on Thursday, while I was killing time between work and practice. Before I started this photo blog I would probably have noted the pretty flowers I saw, but as I didn't carry my camera everywhere I went, I wouldn't have taken a picture. I also wouldn't have really investigated the flowers and seen what beautiful details nature created. I love the tiered colors and patterns in these little beauties and the ice mint green background is a lovely contrast.

In fact, my 200th post will be over two days, as the flower was ready for a close-up, and I couldn't part with either this shot or its macro counterpart.

This photo had a tiny bit of its height cropped, but is otherwise untouched.
