Flower Power Girls

I may not have been posting fresh pictures for the past week, but you best believe I was taking fresh pictures. Last week, Seng and I used our lunch break to photograph the lovely blossoms and flowers popping up all around our office building.

I took this picture of the two of us. I'm getting better at the one-handed photo thing. I positioned my head such that I look normal (and even cute) and I was able to get some background in the picture. I could definitely have chosen the background more skillfully, perhaps turning us a quarter turn so the blossoming trees were behind us. All in all, I'm improving. (P.S. I took almost 60 pictures of flowers on this lunch break...)

I posted photos ahead because I was going on a surprise visit to Vegas. I took at least a hundred photos while I was there. Over the next few days I'll share some of those photos and some of the flowers. I took another one-handed shot while hiking Red Rock. Check it out. The background positioning is much better than the photo above, although I managed to hold my head a bit strangely (thus giving myself a slight double chin). Practice makes perfect though and one of these days I'll master the art (as my cousin Alexa has).
