The droplets of water in this photograph were the best I could capture a phenomenon that fascinated Trish and me at Indian Beach. Spurts of water kept shooting up into the air in various locations around the shore. We weren't sure what was causing it, but we thought it might be mussels and clams "spitting". It was fun to watch. We might have stayed for hours, thus entertained, but it was a bit chilly on the shore and neither of us had dressed properly for it.
This photograph has been cropped to emphasize the "spit". It originally was a horizontal shot.
