Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'

The past two morning commutes have been truly beautiful around the Richmond Bridge. In fact, both mornings inspired me to pull off the road for a few photos, for different reasons each morning. Monday morning I was running a little late, so the sunrise had a head start; Tuesday I was running about 5-10 minutes earlier. While I don't know if it was the tiny changes in the atmosphere from day to day or simply the time difference, I saw very different scenes Monday and Tuesday morning. It inspired me to run a little sunrise comparison series. My most mundane of the shots shall begin it. I love the soft pastel feel of this picture, as well as the subtleties in the light on the water. However, I improve upon the composition a bit in tomorrow's photograph.

A small note about the blog: I have quite a few things I've let fall behind, so I'm posting my sunrise series (5 days) and the remainder of Heart's Desire/Indian Beach (3 days) in advance, to free up my evenings.
