I'll Be Back... to the Water Tower

Posted by liaso (Bay Area, United States) on 27 January 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

Mom and I encountered this water tower near the end of our hike. As you can see it has a fair amount of graffiti on it. It was a little jarring for me, to see something I associate with "city" in the midst of "nature". I found it interesting how the graffiti was painted on top of one another. I like the letter style and coloring of the "glaze" bit. I'm not as much a fan of the scrawl style graffiti, although I did get a chuckle at the "I'll Be Back". Because Arnie is so after that water tower.

(I suppose it's not so much a tower as it is a water container, but I couldn't think of the right word (neither tower or container is it). I know it has water in it because one of the signs on it says "no swimming" and "water supply". Didn't see the sign until I was reviewing my pictures.)

For a close-up of some of the graffiti, go here. You can't see the sign in this pic, but you can see the "I'll Be Back". Plus the close-up photo has nice lines.
