This is a macro of a small bit of a weed-y bush. I'm afraid I don't know exactly what plant it was. I was hiking the Valencia Peak trail in Montana de Oro State Park in the afternoon on Sunday with some friends. One of the girls kept wondering what I was taking pictures of, since the bushes aren't all that pretty in normal size/eye view. I showed her how the macro could find the beauty in almost anything, even scrubby weedy bushes. (Yes, I know I perhaps love the macro feature of my P&S digital too much, but what can I say... I'm addicted.)
It was a lovely hike, part of an almost perfect weekend.
This picture has had a bit of empty space at the top cropped off. I will try to get back to comments and viewing other people's photos soon. I'm afraid I had minimal computer time while I was gone.
love this winter starburst!
