B of Z 8: Follow the Yellow Brick Wall

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My! More from the zoo close to the Great Wall of China. The bears were begging for food, the tigers were munching on food, and the lions looked at us as if we were food.

The bus tour went through three separate areas, the first being the tigers. Live chickens were thrown to the cats. In the collage, you can see a tiger eating his/her chicken and on large view you can just see the feathers in the mouth of the tiger on the right side of the collage. The next stop was the lions, which was actually kind of scary, because they seemed less interested in the chickens and much more interested in us. I got some good close ups in that area. The next area had sun bears (I think that's the type of bear). I can't remember what we feed them, but it was not chicken. It was something you could actually hand down to the bear. Or the bear could stand on its hind legs to get its food, as you can see above.

A very surreal experience.
