It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas

We now take a break from our irregularly scheduled program, Best of the Zoo, to bring you today's sponsor: Sugar Cookies and the Cats who love them.

I spent the day baking sugar/butter cookies yesterday. Although I had messed up the apeture on my camera, causing most of my pictures to be black things with a little bit of color, the top picture was salvageable through a bit of level and contrast work in Photoshop. [Since a lot of people asked - the topping is chocolate sprinkles, not black licorice. :) ]

What I learned on Friday was that Miracle Boy apparently loves cookie dough. Since I was baking let's just say -

The facts were these:

Toulouse, who was 11 years, 33 weeks, 1 day, and 4 minutes old, was a kitty cancer survivor and lover of chicken. He would often cry when there was action at the chopping block, for many a chicken treat came from that place. Today, however, his "mom", who was 29 years, 12 weeks, 2 days, and 266 minutes old, was baking cookies and not slicing chicken. He kept crying so his mom thought she'd show him that he wasn't interested in what she was doing. Much to her surprise, he adored the cookie dough, even standing on his hind legs to beg for more.
