Reruns are Fun! (Best of the Zoo I)

My first set of "rerun" pictures is Best of the Zoo. I have three distinct trips I'm pulling from. The first is a photo safari I took in high school at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. After that will be a trip to a zoo in China near(ish) to Badaling that I visited a year after college. [I'm afraid I don't remember the name of the zoo.] The final stop will be the Edinburgh Zoo which I visited last year.

The pictures from San Diego and China were taken with a film SLR base. The photo quality has been affected by the scanner I used. (I have a better scanner, but it is not currently set up; something was better than nothing for now.) The main difference I see is the pixelation of darker colored areas. Outside of that, I think the colors are true to the originals.

While there is nothing visually stunning or unusual about this picture, what I love about it is that you don't have the feeling that you are looking at a zoo. The Wild Animal Park was always a special place to me, because you got to see the animals interacting together in a landscape similar to where their species are originally from. (Without the carnivores, obviously, since that would negatively affect the zoo's animal population.) I love how open the Wild Animal Park feels.
